Kurt Josef Zalto was born with a deep fascination for glass. Coming from a long lineage of glassmakers spanning six generations, his passion goes far beyond a love for traditional craftsmanship. As a designer, his mission is the pursuit of the perfect form—inspired by nature. Over 20 years ago, he created a glass that was revolutionary at the time.

The Josephine is his masterpiece—a glass that distills form to its essence while elevating function to an art. “This glass embodies all the passion and experience of my life,” says Zalto. He breathed soul into the Josephine.
